A Daily Schedule
A
typical day at the UWSP Swim Camp.
Campers swim three times per day, Monday through Thursday, focusing on both technique and the aerobic & anaerobic training capacities. The morning aerobic session is the longest session of the day, typically falling between 3,000- 7,000 yards, depending on a camper's group placement. Following lunch and the afternoon activities, the second pool session consists of classroom lecture and individual video recording. Following an afternoon break session, one more session is held at the pool, focusing on strokes, turns and sprint training. Upon return from dinner, evening activities are planned by the staff. Campers are to be in their rooms by 9:55 p.m., with room checks at 10:10 p.m.SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE

What are the workouts like?
The morning session consists of an hour of dryland and/or weight training, followed by one to two hours of aerobic and threshold training, again depending on age and group. The coaching staff believes in exposing campers to all forms of freestyle, stroke and IM training - sprint, distance, overload and threshold sets are all incorporated into the morning sets. The afternoon and evening sessions are technique based with one of the head coaches leading two strokes per afternoon session. Yes, we revisit each of the IM strokes three times per week! In the evening, campers are broken into smaller groups to focus on technique and sprint training. All campers are video recorded and analyzed daily!
