JUSTIN STOFFEL

ustin Stoffel is the Associate Head swimming coach and Swim Camp Director at UWSP. Following sixteen combined seasons of high school, USA and YMCA coaching, Stoffel entered collegiate coaching in the fall of 2004. He also was a Longhorn Swim Camp Coach and Assistant Head Camp Counselor at the University of Texas (2004 & 2005) where he worked with Olympic Coach Eddie Reese and World Championship Coach Jill Sterkel.
In the winter of 2000, Stoffel became the assistant head coach for three seasons at the Stevens Point Area High School in Stevens Point, Wis. In the spring of 2003 Stoffel coached the Stevens Point USA and YMCA Clubs. In the fall of 2004 Stoffel was promoted to head coach of the Stevens Point YMCA. During his three year tenure with the Stevens Point YMCA, Stoffel lead 5 swimmers to a combined 27 individual state swimming titles, including 7 Wisconsin state records. Three of Stoffel’s USA swimmers were also Junior National Qualifiers.
In August of 2005, Stoffel began working as the head assistant coach for The University of Stevens Point under head coach Al Boelk. In their first two seasons together, Boelk and Stoffel teamed up to win both the men’s and women’s WIAC Conference titles in 2006 and 2007, a performance repeated only three times in 41 years of UWSP swimming & diving history.
